Will I be nearer to you if I land on the farthest star
or much above,
Above the reach of our fastest space ship, a star above, a trillion
light years away or farther still, will I see you there on a throne
of gold dictating the destinies of mankind :
We hypocrites pray for your nearness but at heart we wish you
far far far away in your divine office,
who of us want you around scrutinising our sinful lives
hypocrites and fools too we are how easily we forget you reside here
in our own heart and all around : To the wise hell is fools' paradise
