Exciting Days for Tennis

The recently concluded US Open in New York provided ample evidence and hope that a new chapter is about to begin in Men's Tennis. After being dominated by four players, (three to a larger extent) for than a decade, this year's tournament saw many a firsts.

Just to name a few, it was the first grand slam final since 2005 not to feature either of Federer, Nadal or Djokovic. It was the first time an Asian has reached the final of a Grand Slam.

Despite this being said, writing off Federer, Nadal and Djokivic for good is nothing but a big mistake. Sharing more than 30 grand slams between them, they have dominated the game in way never seen before in the world of professional sports. Being the fighters they are, they are bound to come back. Yet, this result will provide hope for many of the upcoming players. Hope that they too can conquer the echelons of men's tennis through belief and hardwork.

This hope is good for Tennis. Because this hope is what makes miracles possible. Miracles are what will inspire generations to come. To say that men's tennis has entered a new exciting phase wouldn't be an exaggeration. But let's hope this exciting phase is here to say.
