About Age Care Foundation
Age Care Foundation (ACF) was sponsored by Sneha Sandhya , an association of senior citizens working for the welfare of elders for than a decade . Established in 2012, ACF is pursuing its twin objectives of providing basic health care to senior citizens and palliative care to persons with terminal illness.
The main objectives of Age Care Foundation are to
1. Provide basic geriatric care to elderly people living in old age homes and community.
2. Provide supportive and palliative care to persons with life limiting or life threatening illness both at home and hospice.

Geriatric Care
Geriatrics is a science of medicine which deals with health problems of people aged above 60 years. Many of the elderly persons carry the burden of one or more chronic diseases like hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, dementia etc.
morePalliative and Hospice Care
It is hard to live with a serious illness eg. some forms of cancer, advanced heart disease etc. The person may feel lonely, angry, scared, or sad. He or she may feel that the treatment is doing more harm than good. There may be severe pain , ulceration, disfigurement, or breathlessness or other disturbing symptoms. Palliative care can help the patients and their families to cope with all of these things.
