National festivals are prime platforms to an artist to showcase the skills acquired over the years offering the connoisseurs to see the nuances of art. To name a few festivals Payal has performed in-Nishagandhi festival,Taj Mahotsav, Mahabalipuram festival, Kuchipudi Natya Vaibhavam,Mumbai Festival, SNA’s Nritya Rupa-Desh Parva series, Jewels of India series, “Unbounded beats of India”, ‘Bhakti Pravaha’, ICCR’s ‘Horizon Series’, Kuchipudi Natya Mahotsav, Bhaskar Rao All India Nritya and Sangeet Sammellan, Natya Taringini’s ‘Parampara’ Series, and many more. Payal has represented India in several countries with the intent to propagate Kuchipudi. Amongst them, the most recent ones are the UK, Germany,Netherlands, Mauritius, Canada, and Dubai. To educate the younger generation about the richness of Kuchipudi, she has also conducted workshops/ lecture demonstrations in various schools in India & outside India. She has acted in a serial ‘Parampara’ depicting the Nava Rasas. She has been conferred the title Nrityashree and has been awarded the prestigious Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini award.She has started a dance school by the name of Mrija, which is her initiative to propagate Kuchipudi amongst all natationalities and age groups and bring to the fore, the beauty of this art form. Payal is also an architect.
