Connecting sab ka vikas to sab ka prayas

Indian knowledge systems (bhaaratiiya gyaana vyavastha parampara) are gaining ground as an unlimited knowledge source to power the next wave of economic development in India.

There are many reasons why people are taking interest in IKS in no particular order (partial list) --

• "re-pair" scientific knowledge to advanced technology research and development processes
• Translate to foreign languages and publish international papers gaining international visibility and fame
• Use for own lifestyle changes
• Spread awareness
• Simple joy of looking at perfection
• Improve ability to read, write and speak in Sanskrit and other Indian languages

These are acting as drivers in a re-evolving IKS ecosystem in India. For the sake of brevity let us sum up all of what we discussed as IKS dynamics.

Some Indian states ( Uttarakhand is a prime example ) are at the forefront of driving IKS dynamics. In fact any one who has visited Dehradun jolly grant airport will encounter UK's IKS dynamics when they look at the airport signage. While English words are written in English and Hindi (daevanaagari lipi) ; Sanskrit words (also in daevanaagari) are real sanskrit words.

India's investments into English have failed to drive "Knowledge System Dynamics" because India is primarily a follower in the world of English Dynamics.

This is where IKS dynamics offer India a fundamental advantage - IKS dynamics can put India in a leadership position ( this is not a big achievement - however given India's position as a digital colony one has to still stress the importance of a leadership role in IKS dynamics).

For decades India exported iron ore and imported steel.

Clearly some emergence scenarios for IKS dynamics will still lead to similar outcomes.

Let me outline a scenario, leverage global AI technology platforms to promote Indian languages and gain from IKS dynamics. We are now talking about using Global AI technology as a platform - not IKS ! Nothing fundamentally changes in such a situation.

Remember - the low hanging trap is an ever luring fruit.

The true value of IKS for translating sab ka prayaas into sab ka vikaas lies in shaping IKS dynamics to turn every where skills into every one's factors of economics development.

Let us accept - many state governments still believe in one or two state level super genius leaders single handedly turning India into a vikasit bharat. India would have been an advanced economy by now if that were true. Today there are more and more unemployed English educated youth in India than ever before. Serving the world with call centers and bpos has reached its natural limit.

As our Hon Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi rightly said sabka prayaas can alone drive sab ka vikaas and IKS dynamics alone can reconnect sab ka vikas to sab ka prayas.
