space : EducationGood Space for Education contributes to nation building. A person who is educated usually has a broad outlook and a wide perspective. It is important for the state to heavily invest in primary and higher education for its citizens. Education is a life long journey. It does not end with formal school or university education. When a person is educated, it helps him to decide what he wants to do in life. It enables him to think independently without prejudices. At the primary and secondary level, a student is exposed to languages and basic sciences. It helps him to understand how the world works and gain proficiency in languages to communicate clearly and succinctly. At the high school level, one can decide to specialize in science or arts. This specialization is then carried on to the university level. When one achieves proficiency in the area of study one chooses, it enables him to build a better world. A person can either be an engineer, doctor or decide to pursue arts. Today, there are several options available for a person graduating out of University. The media, real estate, management consulting and finance provide a world of opportunities. It is important to highlight the role of education in character building. More than any other time in India's history, we see reduced care and concern for other fellow citizens, especially from those who are highly educated and sophisticated. This does not augur well for the country or its future. There must be strong focus on moral education right from the primary and secondary school levels. Article by Hamara Syndicate.
