Guru Aloka Kanungo one of the dearest disciple of Odissi Nritya Guru Padma Bhusan Late Guru Kelu Charan Mahapatra. Awards: *Awarded with the National scholarship in the field of “Odissi Dance” by the Department of Culture, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi in the year 1998. *She stood First (in the “Odissi Dance Competition”) in the Student Youth Festival 1995 organized by the Department of Sports & Youth Service, Govt. of West Bengal. In the year 1996 she stood Second in the Rashtriya Yuva Utsav held in Calcutta which was duly organized by the Department of youth Affairs and Sports, Govt.of India, Sports and Youth Service Department, Govt. of West Bengal and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. *First in the Calcutta Festival-1996, which was organized by the Sanskritik Kala Sangam, Calcutta. *Third in the Paschim Banga Rajya Sangeet Academy, 1995. *Sworabitan Samman from Sworabitan International Dance Festival 2012, Bhubaneswar. Recent_Programs: *STRING 2015. *Nritya Nattya Utsav, 2015 under the organization of Paschim Banga Rajya Sangeet Academy. *The Dover Lane Music Conference, 2015 at I.C.C.R ,Kolkata. *Annual Programme of “Sinjan Nrityalaya”,2015.
