  Uthara Antherjanam Uthara learnt her first steps of dance from the age of four, her Guru being her own mother, the well-known dancer from Kerala, Smt. Sobha Antherjanam. Originally being trained in Bharathanatyam, she pursued her artistic talent by taking Bachelor of Fine Arts in Bharathanatyam. Furthermore, her passion for the dance form Odissi, the classical dance form of Odisha, led her to Bhubaneshwar, where she has perfected herself in ‘Srjan’, the foremost Odissi dance institutes in India, founded by the legend in Odissi, Padmavibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, under the tutelage of Guru Ratikanta Mohapathra and Smt. Sujatha Mohapathra., after completing a certificate course in Odissi from Sri Sri University, under Smt. Rashmi Rekha Das, one of the renowned students of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. She has also been working as an Assistant Faculty for Bharathanatyam at Sri Sri University. She had also been trained in Odissi by Guru Sri Thrinath Maharana, New Delhi. Accomplishments: * Uthara is an empanelled artist with the prestigious SPICMACAY. * Graded artist with Doordarshan Kendra. * Recipient of ‘Rangasree Puraskar’ * Recipient of ‘Swarasudha Prathibha Puraskaram’ Overseas Performances: Uthara in a very short span of time has established herself as a leading performer, having performed in many prestigious stages all over India and abroad. She has performed in many international stages including Singapore, Malaysia, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Doha, Kuwait, Bahrain and Dubai. Association with Lalithodayam Nrithalaya: Uthara has been associated with Lalithodayam Nrithalaya, the institution founded by her mother, established over the past 25years. She has been training students right from the very young age of 12.
