 About the Artistes

Smt Bhaskarala Venkata Durga Bhavani is the daughter of the illustrious 
Harikadha Maestro Dr Ammula Viswanadha Bhagavathar and Smt Suvarnabai. 
She hails from a very rich tradition of music and is a direct descendant of 
Saint Tyagaraja Parampara in having Nada Sudhamava, Sangeeta Kala Saagara 
Sri Annavarapu Rama Swamy as her Guru. She is an A Grade Artist of All India Radio 
and for the past 15 years, she is working as Staff artist of Akashvani, Vijayawada. 
She is the recipient of the AP Sangeetha Nataka Academy scholarship for two years. 
Praiseworthy are her musical features in AIR and TV – Harikesa Janani, 
Thyagaraja Ramayanam, Ammavari Krithis and also performing during 
Kanaka Durga Brahmotsavams at Vijayawada.

Sri Peravali Nanda Kumar was initiated to learn music at a very tender age. 
He received his advance training from Sri Annavarapu Rama Swamy, under Guru-Sishya parampara.
He is an A grade Artiste of AIR and Doordarshan and performed in the prestigious Akashvani 
Sangeet Sammelans. He was recognized by the Government of India for awarding Fellowship in 
Carnatic Violin. He is working as Violin Lecturer in the Government Music College, Guntur.

Gifted with unique fingering and bowing techniques both Durga Bhavani and 
Nanda Kumar handle Violin to resonate in unique and distinct styles. They have accompanies 
almost all the top-ranking musicians and also toured extensively on concert tours for 
several years.
