SCCI Semiconductor Design - parikalpak -- August 03, 2026

Free chip ruupa kalpana saadhana

Across India there is a surge in interest in semiconductor chip design. Many universities are looking for establishing semiconductor chip design labs at low cost. While there are some open source tools available - it is not easy to create labs with comprehensive capabilities using such tools.

To ensure every engineering student that wishes to design a chip has access to professional grade tools for chip design - SCCI in partnership with Sankhya Technologies is now offering Indian universities access to academic licenses of SANKHYA Teraptor Designer 2026 Student Edition a totally indigeneous platform that includes both proprietary tools from Sankhya Technologies as well integration with industry standard tools from third parties as well as open source tools.

Universities can expect to receive access to the tools within 3 business days of sending an email request to support AT sankhya.com with a copy to info AT scci.in and executing the license agreement.

Please note that Sankhya Technologies is making the student edition of the tools with full EDA integration available under this program totally free of cost. Advanced SDA capabilities of Teraptor Designer are excluded from the free student edition.

State governments are requested to share the information with all universities in their state.
